1728 Count High-Density Fiber Optic Cable for Data Centers & Telecom

Request a Quote

Designed for extreme density, the 1728-count ribbon fiber cable ensures efficient splicing and optimal performance for large-scale telecom networks. Ribbon fiber cable is designed for high-density fiber optic networks that require maximum efficiency, compact design, and simplified splicing. Unlike traditional loose-tube or tight-buffered fiber, ribbon fiber bundles multiple fibers into flat, ribbon-like structures that can be mass-fusion spliced at once. This makes installation faster, reduces labor costs, and improves overall network performance.

Ideal for data centers, telecommunications, backbone networks, and large-scale fiber deployments, ribbon fiber cable supports high fiber counts while maintaining a smaller overall footprint. The cable is engineered for durability, offering excellent mechanical strength, bend performance, and protection against environmental conditions.

With its ability to handle large volumes of data traffic, ribbon fiber cable is a preferred solution for growing bandwidth demands in modern applications such as 5G, cloud computing, and enterprise connectivity. Available in singlemode and multimode configurations, it ensures low-loss, high-speed transmission over long distances.

Product Details

GL FIBER 1728 Count High-Density Fiber Optic Cable offer the ultimate combination of fiber density and ease-of-use in extreme fiber count outside plant cabling.

Providing fibers in an extreme density design, flexible subunits containing groups of 288 fibers can be easily routed directly into hardware without furcation. Each subunit is finger-peelable and contains four waterblocking yarns that act as ripcords, enabling rapid access to the ribbons for faster termination.

This cable features a specially formulated low-friction PE jacket material optimized for jetting performance into duct systems. The cable construction design to minimize cable diameter, allowing for smaller duct applications.

Feature Characteristics

Unique subunit design

Flexible, finger-peelable subunits provide protection of each 288-fiber ribbon stack, eliminating the need for furcation when routing directly into hardware and enabling individual access to each ribbon for efficient management in splice trays.

Complete gel-free design
No messy filling or flooding compounds mean elimination of time, labor and risk associated with cleaning ribbons, enabling cleaner work areas, simplified splice preparation and less installer error.
