Introduction: For Distribution Substation in the central, North East and North West regions BPC Transmission and Distribution (T&D) Department seeks to improve system reliability through improved Telecommunications, SCADA and Protection systems. To achieve this improvement the corporation has identified improvement of the current Distribution Substation’s telecommunication links and addition of more Distribution Substations to the SCADA network for better visibility.
